Major trigger warning for this one. I just recently checked my dash and saw that there’s a post going around featuring Fox News’ ridiculous opinion on the Connecticut tragedy that occurred today. Along with various angry comments, one brainless brony chose to write “Fuck this, I got ponies. I just lost complete faith in humanity, so fuck it.”…. Pardon me but how the actual fuck do colorful cartoon horses make everything ok? As one sane brony pointed out, it’s understandable that people need some sort of distraction to help them cope, however we all need to face reality at some point. Ignorant and selfish comments like the one made by the original poster that make me strongly dislike this community. /endrant.

When will rabid idiot bronies learn that they are NOT Hasbro’s target audience? Sure they may occasionally slip some subtle “fanservice” in from time to time, but MLP is now and always will be a children’s show. There will never be nightmare fuel, intense adult drama, overly complex plots, or anything else that would defy the show’s happy, kid friendly theme. Either learn to love it or simply find something else to watch.

Missy: And also, you can’t say something is good from drama and nightmare fuel alone. It needs to have purpose. MLP:FiM is a light-hearted slice-of-life comedy, so there is no place for insane nightmare fuel. There is no purpose, which will ultimately make any overly dramatic or scary (for the sake of it) scene fall flat on its ass.

I’ve been reading lots of comments on Equestria Daily and Youtube by Bronies and they are really hateful towards older generation ponies. FIM wouldn’t exist without them!

because i’m sure that you’ve noticed how quickly rabid fans will rush the aid of male fans who said or acted in a way that was completely deplorable (LMJ, MaxVeers, YAC, ect,) while vilifying and shaming female fans for much less. (Yamino, PurpleTinker, mjolkk, ect.)
